J.Crew j crew / Old Navy tailored dress shirt / Trench coat / CatWorld cropped pants / Kirra / Bakers shoulder bag / Collar necklace / Brooks Brothers
Since Sandy came busting through the Northeast, I thought it was only fitting to post an outfit similar to what I will be wearing to work tomorrow. The weather is windy and cloudy with some light showers now that the storm has passed through. We lucked out by not losing power, but many roads are closed and I have been working from home the last 2 days.
A trench coat is something to always have on hand, and adds some style to a rather ordinary outfit. Also, I will throw on a statement necklace to add that extra put together look I like to have.
Hope everyone is safe and you get your power back ASAP!

ASOS scoop neck dress, $40 / H&M cotton blouse, $13 / H&M chiffon shirt, $12 / Elastic waist pants / Flat heels / Wet Seal bootie boots / ASOS high heel booties / Promise Shoes leather high heels / Overnight bag / Geneva hardware jewelry / Kendra Scott cuff jewelry / MNG by Mango wide belt / Mango leather buckle belt
Wide belts are hard to accessorize with. Skinny belts are more in style and can easily be paired with many options. But, I had a mommy reader want to get some use out of hers to mask her shrinking belly. We can work with that! I used one of my favorite sweater dresses and paired it with gray booties and a statement bracelet.
Next option, I found an over-sized white button down or larger polka dot blouse (both from H&M) and some faux leather pants from Target. Make sure either shirt is over sized and blouse-y, and reaches the middle of your tush or longer after belting and you will give the allusion of a tiny waist/ hourglass figure. You can use black leggings instead and black booties or fun pair of flats. You can rock either outfit with a cute diaper bag I found on etsy.com.
Enjoy!

Goin somewhere fun this weekend?? This outfit is great for shopping, out for coffee or a get-together with friends. Mixing some patterns of the same color scheme, floral and stripes keeps you on trend without looking a hot mess. Make a gold arm party and you're good to go.
P.S. This shirt is now on SALE for $29.99 at JCrew. Loving these Penney's boots also!

Calvin Klein knit sweater dress / Old Navy fitted knit dress / ASOS three quarter sleeve dress / Calvin Klein short sweater dress / Old Navy empire waist sweater dress / GAP long sleeve striped dress / Lauren Ralph Lauren ralph lauren dress / Sheer long sleeve dress / Vintage black dress / H&M three quarter sleeve dress, $24
I am loving sweater-dresses as of late. You can wear them to the office or on the weekend depending on what you pair them with. Here, I'll give some suggestions how to dress up/down a few of them:
1- This sweater-dress is on the longer side, perfect for the office. I would wear a knee high boot with a heel for work and a fun colored statement necklace.
5- For work, I could put a white button down underneath, black tights and black wedge booties. Or, for the weekend, add a floral print scarf with similar colors of the stripes, tights, black flat boots and jean jacket.
7- Work, just how it's shown, with the leopard belt, black tights and booties. Weekend, change out for black booties with the toe open or flats for more casual.
10- I could head to a bar in this dress, add a black leather jacket and some pumps with studs and silver accessories and (fall color) oxblood or cobalt blue clutch.

Shirts blouse / Faux fur vest / H&M , $32 / Jolt / Forever 21 pointy boots / Dorothy Perkins clutch handbag, $24 / H&M / GUESS / Tory Burch / Nina pearl necklace
During fashion week we saw a lot of the faux fur vests on the runway. I found one that is decently priced at $69 from Macy's. I feel like if you try to get one under $50 it will really look/feel super cheap. $69 doesn't break the bank for something we're not sure is a lasting trend. I paired this with the new hotness color for fall, oxblood. The name is gross, but the color is FAB! You can totally cas-down this outfit even more with white long sleeve T, a pair of Toms and lose all the jewelry except the watch.

Old Navy / Zara blazer / H&M , $24 / Black tight / Fergalicious high heel boots / Cross body handbag / Wet Seal / FOSSIL leather watch / Blue scarve
I'm loving this studded (on the shoulder) blazer from Zara, super cute and you can dress this up or down. I chose to dress this outfit up for the office, added tights and booties to make it a more cold weather style. Brought out the blue in the jacket with a cozy scarf and threw in some pops of pink. I really like this watch too, it's feminine but still has the large face, which is a trend these days. Best part, everything is decently priced.
