Fun Work outfit

My girl Cristina Rosemary just bought a pair of teal flats (different from the ones above),
so I figured I'd help her assemble an outfit with them!

Statement Necklace Wishlist!

I love me some statement necklaces, I have a ton.  But, what's wrong with wanting a few more!!!

Here are a few I found that I would love to get my hands on!

for $38 this necklace is a steal. Love the neon orange, perfect to pair with a chambray shirt and pencil skirt, or t-shirt and jeans! Also comes in pastel green

For $34.50 this necklace is similar to the ones from Stella & Dot, which I love! Kinda blurry, sorry.

$45 this necklace is hot, hot, HOT! Would totally wear this with an LBD!

Love this one from Mae Badiyan!!! Thinking about buying it to wear with my color blocked shower dress!  $50

Do you have any on your wishlist!?!?! If so, do tell!

March Birchbox- Review

Birchbox sends you monthly deliveries of high-end beauty samples to help you discover products you'll love.
I'm a little late posting my March Birchbox that I received in the beginning of the month.  But, I wanted to be able to give a review of some of these, so I held off.  I received the following items:

1) Annick Goutal perfume-full size is $85- This is very musky and strong.  I like the fruity smell, but wouldn't wear this to the office.  This would be out to dinner or drinks.
2) Essie nail polish in luxeffects- full size is $8- I haven't tried this yet.  With my wedding only a few months away, I've been getting a Gel manicure so that my nails will be half way decent by the time it gets here.  I don't like glitter for my toes, so this will have to wait until June to try.
3) Peter Thomas Roth- Max AntiShine Mattifying Gel- full size is $35- I've only remembered to use this twice all month.  It was kind of slimy when I put it on my face, then never dried.  It gave me a dewy feel, which I don't love.  My face is already oily enough, I had to use a napkin to wipe the oil around lunch time.
4) Tarte LipSurgence lip tint- $24- I was quite impressed that this was included in the regular size that you buy in the stores.  Once it faded, it kind of look like my lips were stained with orange colored wine.  No bueno unless you're going to keep on top of the re-applying.  The color at first was pretty and different from the raisin/plum I usually stick with.
5) Twistband hair tie- 12 pack is $18- I think this hair tie is good for the weekend, lounging around the house, but there is no way I could do burpees or double-unders in a workout and have my hair stay put.  I def wouldn't pay $18 for this.
6) ModCloth online coupon for $10 off $75 order or more. Gotta love my coupons!!

Sometimes..... I don't purchase anything from the Birchbox, which is fine with me, once in a while.  They do send me email deals on the items they sent me, so if I wanted to purchase I could get a discount.

If you want to check it out, here you go!  Birchbox

Ideeli this is ideal!

Just wanted to keep all the fashionista's in the loop!  Ideeli is a sample sale online website that you get great prices on clothes, accessories for men, women and kids, and even travel packages.  I've been a member for a few years now and have bought clothes and jewelry with great experiences.  You need to be invited to sign up, so just wanted to put it out there, in case anyone wanted to sign up!  You can subscribe to emails for the new deals and they let you know when they will be open to purchase.

Head over if you want to check it out!  Invitation!

This is similar to Rue La La, but in my opinion, Ideeli isn't as outrageously priced as Rue La La.

So far: I've bought maxi dresses, necklaces, shoes, sandals, bathing suits and beach coverups.
I bought this dress for my friends wedding from Ideeli and received a lot of compliments on it.  I think it was $80

This necklace I just wore for my 30th Surprise Bday, loved it! I think it was $25

OOTD- Pink chic

I wore this outfit to work a few days ago.  I'm in the corporate world, so I can't really get away with neon anything and can't really shop because we're paying for our wedding ourselves.  So, I try to be fashionable with what I have, so you will see some throwbacks of things I bought when I first got out of college and became a working girl.

Pink shirt: The Limited from 2005
White blouse: H&M from about 2007
Pants- Express from 2010
Belt: NY & Company- recent YAY!
Shoes: Impo from DSW from 2009
Jewelry: faux pearls from the year of the flood, Watch: Bulova, Diamond earrings

and just 'cause he's cute!

Everyday........... I look like this: done, makeup done, dress wearing, event attending, corporate working sista.

Most of those days consist on an avg. 1 hr looking like this:

I can deadlift over 200lbs, squat 135lbs, clean 155lbs, do pullups, dips and double-unders.

Now, I may not look like I did a year ago:

BUT, I am still a fierce competitor in anything I put my mind to!

Ask yourself......... have you put your whole heart into it?? Was that the best you can do!??

Just food for thought..................
Happy Monday!

Dress shopping let down ;(

I went to Marshall's and Old Navy yesterday looking for some summer/honeymoon dresses.  It was a total let down.  Old Navy's dresses were see-through and Marshall's was ready for Fall.  Here's some evidence to prove it!

Old Navy:

Notice the blue panties!   (Take notice of the shoulder muscles coming back!!!)  NICE!

Blue panties strike again! :(

Fall colors and material.... what happened with Spring?

The dark colors and material on this one didn't make it feel summery at all!

Ughhh, heading to the mall this weekend, hopefully I have better luck!

Rustic Chic Invitation Peek

HA, I just rhymed!
Anyway..... thought I'd give you a peek at my awesome invitations done by Custom Designs by Kell.  I gave her full design flexibility, but pretty much knew what I wanted as far as color, pocket folds, rustic feel, and a couple additions out of the norm.  She was such a great vendor to work with, answered all my questions quickly, even the dumb ones (I had no idea what I was doing regarding wedding invites and etiquette, etc.).  I asked her what was the norm... and then tweaked it to make it unique.  The high quality of materials and the perfection of each individual invitation led to MANY compliments within the 1st week of sending them out!  I HIGHLY recommend using Custom Designs by Kell.  I plan on keeping her on file for future use again and again!  Thanks again Nickell, you ROCK!

How awesome are these!?!?
