Casual Date Night with a Girlfriend

Looking forward to this weekend even though I had this past week off. We have a Post Holiday- ugly sweater party tonight that I'm not so excited about. The only reason I'm not excited is because my ugly sweater is soooo ugly! It ain't got no alibi! I mean some sweaters are ugly cute, but not mine! So gross! I'll post it to show you.
Any way, last night I met a girlfriend out for a drink. We haven't hung out in about 2 weeks, so we needed to get together and catch up! It's still freezing in NY so this poncho was the first thing I pulled from my closet and then everything else was styled around this. How cute is this, from Nordstrom Rack!
Ponchos are great to style for any size lady, this also works well for preggo ladies also!

Back to work in the New Year.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
Ughhh back to work I go tomorrow, after about an 8 day break. Not looking forward to getting up early, but I am excited to get up and get dressed for the day (as I sit here on my couch in my pajamas in the middle of the afternoon). After over-eating during the holidays, I'm also excited to get back to eating clean and hitting up the box. (Crossfit gym) With that said, I will be wearing some loose fitting outfits for the first couple of weeks until I get some weight off. A loose fitting blouse and stretchy pencil skirt it is! Throw on a statement necklace and make it through your first day back!
What do you plan on wearing for your first day back?

Going to see the Tree.

Christmas week, hubby and I are planning to have a date day in NYC and going to go check out the tree and Rockefeller Center. I have a few things on my list on what I want to do, and most of it includes walking around everywhere. So, heels are not an option. I'm liking these flat over the knee black boots, they are cute even though they don't have a heel. Walking around the city, it's going to be chilly so a cute warm jacket and snood are a must. Dressing the outfit up a bit with fun earrings. Since I'm going to be covered up, no need to wear an arm party or necklace, for fear of them breaking or losing them.
What would you wear while walking around NYC?

Chilly Summer Night
H&M shirt, $20 / Kenneth Cole faux leather jacket / LOFT stripe skirt / Enzo Angiolini polish shoes / Topshop satchel purse / Kate Spade analog watch / BaubleBar fringe necklace
This would be a perfect outfit for a chilly summer night. Going out to dinner and then for a walk on the boardwalk or through the park afterwards? This is the perfect Kenneth Cold jacket, which you could carry into Fall. I paired it with a statement necklace and cute stripe skirt that you can also wear to work or throw it on with a T-shirt and sandals, and you can wear it running errands. Pulling the pink out of the statement necklace, I chose this Topshop satchel purse. You can wear the purse, this summer, and probably for Spring. I wouldn't for Fall.

Birthday suit......

Last night I had family and friends meets us for dinner and drinks for my birthday. It was such a good time and was much needed after a stressful week at work. It was also my last week working there. Since I was the birthday girl, I wanted to be on the dressier sided. I originally had cobalt blue crop pants, but it just didn't feel right. So, I chose my "never fail" red skinnies and sequin top and threw on my casual black blazer. An arm party and your favorite watch and you are ready for a night out!
Monday I start my new job.... stay tuned for what I wore this week!

Wardrobe Consult- Miss N

When Miss N contacted me she mentioned oxblood & leopard..... girl after my own heart! She's starting a new job in corporate and needs some ideas. Needing office appropriate, but not abandoning her fun personality. I took those ideas and ran with it. All items are budget friendly as well. The leopard cardigan can be paired with either dress. This is just a hint of one of my packages that I offer. Feel free to contact me for a full package.

The Perfect Blazer
While doing a little online browsing, I came across this Nordstrom's Gibson Blazer
and thought it would be perfect to add to my wardrobe after the
wedding. Priced at $88, it's cheaper than Zara Blazers and to me, just
as nice. It comes in green, tan, white, orange and blue. All colors
perfect for spring! Super cute polka dots on the rolled up sleeves!
Dress this down with jeans and a statement necklace or dress it up for
work with a button down and pencil skirt or skinny trousers or over a dress.
I went ahead and made an example for ya. All prices are pretty reasonable too! This I would wear Casual Friday at work.
