Fall
Fashions and You - Cozy Sweaters
Have you
been hiding the sweater your Nana knit you for Christmas? Well, get ready to
wear it, because comfy cozy knits are here for fall! There's a sweater for
everybody, so get ready for warmth and comfort this season.
If you
typically wear ladylike clothes - think pearls and floral dresses - keep your
sweaters cozy but relatively fitted. Don't go oversize with your knits.
Instead, try Fair Isle or lightly patterned knits. Feel free to belt in your
sweater or cardigan to emphasize your waist!
A rockstar
look can benefit from a sweater, too - think 1980s oversize glam. Something
with dropped shoulders and overly long sleeves will look too cool for school
when paired with dark denim and leather booties. So remember, women’s shoes this fall will make an good outfit great this season.
If you lean more toward the urban fashionista
aesthetic and think you can't pull off a sweater, think again! Long cardigans
and patterned sweaters look effortlessly cool and make any outfit cozier.
Grandpa-style elbow patches are a particularly nice touch on your sweaters this
fall. Pair with a super-short mini, black tights and a killer pair of strappy
heels for the look of the century.
Don't be afraid to layer your sweaters this fall. A
long cardigan looks fantastic over knee length dresses or silk shirts, while a
chunky, loose knit benefits from a brightly-colored tank top underneath.
Sweaters give you so many opportunities to play with
your silhouette and learn which styles work for you! A bulky sweater looks
entirely different paired with skinny jeans than it does over a maxi skirt. A
lean cardigan looks great with a miniskirt, but equally as good with flared
jeans.
It's critical to accessorize your knitwear this fall.
Throw on a scarf for an ultra-bundled warm look, or add a statement necklace
for a lush layered look. A big ring can be the perfect counterpart to a big,
comfy sweater, while heels bring great balance to your knits!
Just wanted to thank Anya for contacting me and giving us all some advice on fall trends!! Anya..... maybe in the near future, you will need a partner stylist!?!?! *wink..wink*
