Kids Holiday Party

Kid's Holiday Party

Mink Pink / Sheer shirt / GAP tall pants / Calvin Klein Jeans ballet flat / Charlotte Russe ballet flat / White House Black Market set of bangle / Kate Spade stacking bangle / Kendra Scott earrings / LOFT knitted scarve / Kendra Scott Minnie Earrings Forest Jade - Zappos.com Free Shipping...

Here's a suggestion what to wear to the Holiday parties, keeping in mind there will be tons of kids at the party.  That might not mean anything to you if you're the type of adult that just kicks back on the couch and watch's the game, or chats it up with the other adults.  But, if you are the type like me, to take some time to roll around on the floor with the kiddos or do some arts and crafts, you want to keep that in mind when picking out your outfit.
Flats are a must for comfort, but they can still be fun!  Keeping on trend, I mixed prints, leopard and polka-dots.  Found a budget friendly blouse option at Target (on right).  (Throw on a long cardigan or blazer if you are chilly).  I made it "Holiday" friendly by adding a red infinity scarf and my fav Kendra Scott earrings.  Let's discuss the term infinity scarf for a sec.  Some people call it a snood, like back in the day.  But that's just a disgusting name, so infinity scarf it will be for good!  Because it's my blog, The End!
Hope you enjoyed!  If you care to check out more outfit options, feel free to follow/subscribe

Visiting Friends

Visiting Friends

Yellow top / H m poncho, $41 / Gap destroyed jeans / Naturalizer zip boots / ASOS satchel bag / Kate Spade bracelet jewelry / Stella Dot silver and gold jewelry / Stella Dot bracelets bangle

During the Holidays, hubby and I like to stop by friends houses for a visit.  Most of our friends have kids, so we usually are the ones to head to their house for a visit, instead of hosting.  I want to be cozy when I visit friends because I'm usually sitting on the floor playing with the kiddos, or rough housing with the family dog.  Simple sweater, skinnies and riding boots are the perfect combo for being casual, yet still looking put together (I have these riding boots and I highly recommend them, super comfy and perfect brown color).  Add some dangle earrings for a dressier look.
What do you wear to visit friends?

Going to see the Tree.

Going to see the Tree.

J Crew merino sweater / Jack BB Dakota army green parka / 7 For All Mankind clothing / Fergie black over knee boots / Topshop black crocodile handbag / Kate Spade stainless steel watch / Stella Dot sparkle jewelry / Subtle Luxury knit scarve

Christmas week, hubby and I are planning to have a date day in NYC and going to go check out the tree and Rockefeller Center.  I have a few things on my list on what I want to do, and most of it includes walking around everywhere.  So, heels are not an option.  I'm liking these flat over the knee black boots,  they are cute even though they don't have a heel.  Walking around the city, it's going to be chilly so a cute warm jacket and snood are a must.  Dressing the outfit up a bit with fun earrings.  Since I'm going to be covered up, no need to wear an arm party or necklace, for fear of them breaking or losing them.
What would you wear while walking around NYC?

Friend's Holiday Get-together

Friend's Holiday Get-together

Three Dots boxy sweatshirt / LOFT pants / Quilted handbag / Kate Spade bracelet watch / Stella & Dot stella dot necklace / Stella & Dot red jewelry / Stella & Dot stella dot jewelry

I'm having my Stella & Dot Launch Party tomorrow night and that got me thinking of what to wear to a friend's get together around the holidays.  I kept it pretty casual with this fun sweatshirt and Loft pants, and then dressed it up with my 2 favorite S&D necklaces combined together.  Add a pop of holiday color on your feet and your are instantly ready to cheers with great friends!
What are you thinking about wearing to your next get together?

Make a statement on your day off!

Make a statement on your day off!

Long sleeve knit cardigan / White cotton blouse / Zara jeans / Charles Philip Shanghai loafer, $76 / Oasis pink metallic purse, $11 / Kate Spade watch / Stella & Dot blue chain necklace / Stella & Dot earrings

I had Columbus Day off and was running errands all day, and heading to an appointment so I wanted to still look put together, but not be "work dressed".  I'm loving this Stella & Dot statement necklace, it's the type you can throw on with a t-shirt and jeans and you just added that extra ooomph! Kept the other accessories basic and threw on a pair of comfortable loafers.  This outfit can be worn for a coffee date, headed to your kid's soccer game, or to your PTA meeting.
Where would you wear this outfit?

Lady in Red...... details!

Lady in Red...... details!

Peplum sweater / Banana Republic striped pencil skirt / Clutch / Kate Spade watch / Stella & Dot preppy jewelry / Stella & Dot earrings / Clinique lip treatment

A few nights ago I went to a Stella & Dot jewelry party.  I loved a ton of pieces that Stella & Dot has, so much that I'm really thinking about becoming a stylist with them.  I purchased the "renegade" bracelet and can't wait until it's at my door!  I had about 10 other wishlist items that my Stylist took note of and is going to email my hubby my wishlist, so he can get me some things for Xmas and my bday in January.  I thought that was such a great idea!  This is also good if I become a S&D Stylist, I know exactly what I'm going to add to my collection to bring to trunk shows.  Anyway, I selected this fun red Stella & Dot statement necklace and cz studs to style for work with a fun striped skirt and black peplum top.
How would you wear this statement necklace??

Stripes- Summer to Fall

Stripes- Summer to Fall

J.Crew striped top / 7 For All mankind / American Eagle Outfitters distressed denim shorts / Calvin Klein Jeans studded flat shoes / Lacoste croc handbag / BaubleBar flower jewelry / Kate Spade striped sunglasses

I love a good 3/4 sleeve striped shirt.  You can wear it in the summer with shorts and then wear it with a great pair of jeans at night or in the Fall.  Put on a pair of brown boots to make it even more Fall-like.  Dress it up with this necklace or pearls, or dress it down with a tassel necklace.  You can do so many things with a striped shirt.

Chilly Summer Night

Chilly Summer Night

H&M shirt, $20 / Kenneth Cole faux leather jacket / LOFT stripe skirt / Enzo Angiolini polish shoes / Topshop satchel purse / Kate Spade analog watch / BaubleBar fringe necklace

This would be a perfect outfit for a chilly summer night.  Going out to dinner and then for a walk on the boardwalk or through the park afterwards?  This is the perfect Kenneth Cold jacket, which you could carry into Fall.  I paired it with a statement necklace and cute stripe skirt that you can also wear to work or throw it on with a T-shirt and sandals, and you can wear it running errands.  Pulling the pink out of the statement necklace, I chose this Topshop satchel purse.  You can wear the purse, this summer, and probably for Spring.  I wouldn't for Fall.

What would you wear on a chilly summer night? (no sweatpants)

Cozy Casual

Cozy Casual

Forever 21 color block top / American Eagle Outfitters short shorts / Old Navy animal print flat / Steven by Steve Madden tote / Kate Spade white dial watch / Talbots fake earrings / Gap scarve

Since I'm off from work today, it's all about being cozy casual.  This scarf is perfect for summer, and you can pair it with some dark browns for Fall. The material of this Gap scarf is so light that you can even wear this with a tank top to jazz up an outfit and not sweat your a$$ off.

Do you have any summer scarves?

Anchor Necklace

Anchor Necklace

AƩropostale chambray shirt / Mossimo distressed jean shorts / Charles Philip Shanghai loafer shoes, $74 / Tory Burch handbag / Jules Smith anchor jewelry / Kate Spade bracelet watch

I found this anchor necklace on shopbop.  I'm really feeling the nautical trend that's hot right now.  Just in time for summer.  This is a great outfit to shuttle the kids to camp, soccer two-a-days, or BBQ'n with friends.

Are you into the nautical trend or are you gonna pass on it?

LOFT Striped Flare Dress

LOFT Striped Flare Dress

LOFT dress / ASOS flat soled shoes / Steve Madden wedge / Enzo Angiolini patent shoes / Lacoste handbag / Oasis handbag, $11 / Kate Spade two tone jewelry / Forever 21 square bracelet / Kate Spade hand crafted jewelry / C. Wonder yellow gold jewelry

Love this LOFT Striped Flare Dress.  You can wear it for a wedding or you can dress it down for lunch.  I chose supercute wedges or loving those tassel sandals as your lunch option, depending if your running errands before/after.  I kept the jewelry dressy and bright for a wedding option, and more simple for the lunch option.  This past week, LOFT dresses were 40% off, so I'm going to wait until they have that sale again or similar, and def get this dress!  You can totally dress this down even more with a light chambray shirt tied up, or dress this up even more with fun pearl bunched necklace!  There's so many options with this dress!

Can't be more Spring!

Can't be more spring!

LOFT camisole top / H&M h m, $39 / LOFT ankle length pants / Chinese Laundry metallic shoes / Oasis metallic handbag, $11 / Kate Spade post earrings / Forever 21 square bangle

After a much needed hiatus.... I'm back b*tches!  Looking forward to posting some awesome Spring pieces I have found.  Lots of bright color, structured pieces and items that def make a statement!
This Spring, don't be afraid to rock a white blazer.  I would wear this to dinner mostly.  Simple reason being: out at a bar. drinks flowing. spilling. dancing. more spilling. you get the point.  Sit down and sip your cocktail and not be afraid of the drunkard next to you will make a smooth move past you and stain that "used to be all white" blazer.  Dinner item for sure!  Loving this coral lace top from The Loft.  Change the look with a different colored tank top underneath. Dress it down with a chambray top over it.

Coffee or Tea?

Coffee or Tea?

Merona® Women's Favorite Oxford Shirt - Assorted Colors / LOFT long pencil skirt / Sheer hosiery / Forever 21 platform boots / Zara shopping bag / Kate Spade clip on earrings / LOFT colorful scarve

Well... you win some you lose some... I wore this outfit on Friday, and all day, I sort of felt like a flight attendant.  Then to confirm, I posted my pic on Instagram and Facebook, and someone commented, "coffee, tea, or me?  So, even someone else thought I should be serving coffee, or tea on a 747 in this outfitLOL. I think I'll keep the plain white button down to be used as a layer.  Maybe switch it out with a white peplum top.
Ah-well..........

What to wear with.... Orange heels

What to wear with.... Orange heels

STEFFEN SCHRAUT cap sleeve shirt / Burberry tailored shirt / Dorothy Perkins knit sweater / Herringbone jacket / Dorothy Perkins ponte skirt, $16 / Ann Taylor slim fit pants / Circa Joan & David / MICHAEL Michael Kors michael kors tote bag, $510 / ChloƩ two tone jewelry, $510 / Kate Spade photo engraved jewelry / C. Wonder yellow gold jewelry

I was asked for ideas on what to pair with burnt orange heels.  The first thing I thought of was no BLACK!  That automatically makes me think of Halloween!.... I would stick to more warm colors.  Maroon, oxblood, olive green, tan, brown, etc.  The outfit on the left is a dressy option for work.  Olive green herringbone blazer for $44, creme blouse and oxblood pencil skirt.  On the right is more casual, for work or play.  A plaid button down with that hint of orange in the pattern, and the corduroy pants color from Loft is called Deep Veranda, its a deep green and would work perfectly.  I would throw on a creme colored sweater if you don't want a ton of plaid showing.  I kept the accessories simple... you want to let the shoes do the popping for these outfits.
Hope this helps suggest some ideas on what to wear with these shoes!
Have a great Xmas everyone!!!!

Leopard and leather- Work Appropriate

Leopard and leather

Old Navy animal print sweater / Charter Club / GAP knit tight / Fergalicious / Bakers zipper bag / Chain bracelet / Kate Spade earrings

Today I chose a work appropriate way to wear the new hotness, leather.  The skirt is a great length for the office and I paired this with a cute Old Navy leopard sweater.  I kept the jewelry basic because I didn't want it looking too over the top.  The sweater can be paired with jeans on the weekend or the skirt can be paired with sexy open toed shoes for a night out on the town.  Either way, you're sticking on trend, and look super stylish!
What do you think??  Will you be dabbling in the new trend?
